The Curse of Oak Island 2014

I love this show. These guys have so much drive and integrity. I hope something great happens while Dan Blankenship is still on this Earth to see it.

I watch this show when ABSOLUTELY nothing else worth watching is on. It sometimes makes for a laugh with the absurd over dramatization when they find mostly meaningless and reasonably explained trinkets. I rate this show 4 out of 5 "Oh Pulleazes"

By the third season, this entire show stopped being about Oak Island and being about the piles of cash these two brothers earn from every episode. Make no mistake, the SHOW is the treasure they found - and it nets them enough to now own the island, the island itself is just a prop.

The money pit is the money they have made of the tv show by dragging the so, so “treasure hunt” for 7+ years.

Great show but I do wish they would not keep repeating the same things over and over again. If you are following the show you know what they are looking for or what they might find there is just no need to keep repeating it, of course what it does is pads out the episodes to make the show longer :-(

Cmon enough is enough.Any treasure is long gone and nine seasons is about five to many. Why i continue to watch this i honestly dont know, its became a unhealthy habit and has started to cause brain damage.

In my opinion, this is the best reality show of all time. Intriguing with a cast of really down to earth people. I've never missed a episode and certainly will be continuing to watch all future episodes.

to me it looks like a Viking settlement, they found a rock with runes on it and an important man was buried in the Viking tradition, ie a burning ship in the swamp. and if the mikmaw were there, just ask them, natives have an oral tradition that would give out a lot of information

"A stick? A stick that could be a potentially valuable clue that something of great value was buried on Oak Island." I love the show and will keep watching, but could Robert Clotworthy mix it up a little more? He says variations on the exact same things over and over. And, do we have to relive the initial discovery of the Money Pit on every show? There may be newcomers that need to hear the history, I get that. But, I think once, maybe twice, the whole season would be enough. [Off my soapbox now] Keep up the finds, and just as important, the rewriting of history.

I love the story of Oak Island but growing very frustrated seeing so much repeated content or prior information….over and over and over again and again. I find it ruins the show.
I’m sure they must film enough during the day or week that they could give you all new content and information.

What started out to be a good show and still is as it has an interesting and unique plot is becoming way dragged out like a witch hunt. It follows two brothers and there friends and family and colleagues who are digging for one of the supposed biggest treasures to ever have been rumored, on an island in Nova Scotia. But despite their relentless efforts it doesn't seem like they are any closer than episode 1. However, History channel does a great job with their cliff hangers and filming to keep you coming back thinking they will find something big.

Is anyone serious about watching this? Just discovered it today and am up to date... /spoiler First episode why not send the camera back down all the way ten years later they're finally just digging up the original hole. All I can say is get ready to skip a lot and only bother with one or two episodes a season. It's a good demonstration on how to make yourself look stupid. /spoiler

Be nice if they ever found anything is real importance. At least gold mining you might recoup your money.

The only thing this show is good for is as an example of all the ways humans are bad at thinking, and how production techniques like editing and music can make darn near anything entertaining. Confirmation bias and other forms of motivated reasoning have deluded these people into wholeheartedly believing in something that is mythical. It reminds me of how people at the Discovery Institute and other religious organizations use bad science and bad reasoning to try to prove their myths true. There is no evidence, or lack of evidence, that will ever change their minds.

I love this show once I start watching,I just watch one after the other, I hope something in series four produces some finds because as yet, not much to show for the millions of pounds/dollars spent drilling and looking all over all parts of the island itself
It's a very addictive show, your desperate to see something found because six people have lost their lives looking to find something for three hundred years, Surely this is the year to crack it.
Although I doubt it.

At times so captivating, but also at times so boring. Enjoying season 1 so far and really looking forward to some sort of conclusion to this 'mystery.'
