Available Image Size

Most API methods return images and those image URLs are for the full size, uncompressed images. The full size images can vary in size, but they are generally pretty large. In many cases, your app can get by with smaller images, both in filesize and dimensions. To use an alternate size, just added the suffix before the file extension. For example, http://trakt.us/images/posters/10369-138.jpg.

Posters

• uncompressed

  These are typically 1000x1500 in size, some might be a bit smaller.

• -138

  Small posters are 138x203, all the grid views use this size.

• -300

  Large posters are 300x450, the movie summary page uses this size.

Fanart

• uncompressed

  Most of these are 1920x1080, some of 1280x720.

• -940

  Large fanart is 940x529, the show summary uses these.

• -218

  Small fanart is 218x123, these are used in place of missing episode images.

Episodes

• uncompressed

  These vary in size quite a bit, but are typically at least 400x225.

• -218

  Small episodes are 218x123, these are used in things like charts and season pages.

Banners

• uncompressed

  These are 758x140 in size.
