It doesn't seem to post to my timeline when I mark an episode as seen. Is this intentional? Marking things as seen is my primary way of using trakt.
Why so big? I just want it to show the name of the show.
Don't really wanna fill up the screen with spam pictures :/
@swac Yes that is intentional. We might add a setting to sync seen actions. However, checkins are really the way to go to manually indicate you are watching something right now. We're currently beta testing that.
@zag2me Which part are you talking about? Timeline is less obtrusive than wall posts were. In general its pretty tidy and shows up in the mini feed. There is a dedicated videos/trakt page that shows most of these larger views. On your main timeline it aggregates the last few using whatever technique facebook uses to do that.
Great work! Love the new timeline implementation. Really like the layout so far.
Is integration with Google+ possible/planned ?
@Zelgadis they don't have a public API yet so not much we can do yet to automate the process like the other social networks
I tested it out but it was spamming my friends feed with the poster and entire tv episode description.
Why anyone would care about that I do not know. I just want it to show something like "I watched - tvshow". Small and less annoying to people.
Turned it off for now.
New one is nicer but seems a bit sporadic, it didn't seem to post to facebook at first, then yesterday it posted 3 out of 3 things fine, today, I watched 3 things, they appear here as watching and then watched, but didn't get put on my timeline... rather strange.
Do they show up in your activity log on facebook? Sometimes I've noticed it doesn't instantly fill out the boxes for whatever reason.
Nope, not on the activity log (only the 3 from Sunday)
Removed it from Facebook, disconnected, and went through reconnecting it again. Seems to be working again, hopefully it holds. :)
My recently watched items are showing up in a section called 'Video' whereas my recently rated items are showing up in a section called 'Trakt'. Is this intentional? It seems it would be cleaner to combine them all into one section in our Timeline, no?
I have the same situation as saltedlolly, i also though i would have expected only one Track.tv section.
It's because video watching is a built in Facebook timeline action and ratings are custom. The trakt box should pull in both kinds though after you have built up data for a few days. I am not sure we can do much about it since Facebook wants apps to use the built in actions when appropriate. It actually didn't get approved until we switched to that.
1) there shouldn't be the episode description shown in Facebook. It's spoilery and takes a lot of screen estate
2) Try to priotize to make it compact and sum up thinks - or give the option to only show it in the ticker (especially the "is just watching"). I didn't get this compression from the last screenshot ("and 8 other series") yet...
How long does it take to activity to appear on the timeline? I've watched several episodes and none of them appeared yet, and they don't show up in my activity log :(
Ok, now it does appear in my activity blog. I forgot checking the TV Shows and Movies option on the Connections settings. The box still does not appear, so again, how many TV shows/Movies do I have to watch so that it shows up?
disconnect, remove app from facebook, connect again
This feature hasn't worked for me at all. Did the disconnect/remove/connect thing and still no joy.
Doesnt work for me either, made a new account for the wife and set up this dodgy new way and nothing she watches gets posted to facebook, it comes up in a little list of past activities and no one else sees them except for her.
Im still on the old way they did it, I hope they never force over those of us still on the old way, as the new way is crap :(
It is sort of working for me. It is only showing things I rate but it's not showing the episodes I watch in the Trakt Ticker on the Timeline. It is showing stuff in the "Video" Ticker though.
