What can be expected of a Walt Disney "horror movie": Watcher in the Woods is rather a suspenseful drama than a horror movie. In addition it looks quite dated after over 30 years and the at most mediocre acting does not help either. If you want to watch a similar but much better movie I would recommend "The Others", but do yourself a favor and skip Watcher in the Woods!
