One and a half hour of...nothing. Idiotic script with bad acting, but I suspect the actors didn't have all that much to work with in the first place.

The only redeeming factor this piece of crap has is Pripyat. Very nicely done when scouting for locations.

when i heard they were making a Chernobyl movie i got really excited...
I think its one of the creepiest places to make a horror movie.
As soon as i was able to watch it i got extremely disappointed.
Maybe its because i expected so much from this movie :(

In a time when horror movies are either plain bad or just pure trash (like Paranormal Activity), Chernobyl Diaries comes in to brings us back to the fun days of horror. I'm not saying it is the horror film of the year, but is definately entertaining and the most acceptable horror film in a long time. The cast is a bunch of unknowns but the entertaining story and the aceptable performance from the cast, makes Chernobyl Diaries an entertaining throwback to films like the Hills Have Eyes and The Descent. If you like the two previous films I just mentioned, then you will definately find Chernobyl Diaries very entertaining.
