Bumbling supervillain Megamind finally defeats his nemesis, the superhero Metro Man. But without a hero, he loses all purpose and must find new meaning to his life.
I thought it was going to be some lame movie but I'm glad my friends convinced me. A lot of fun and originality to be had here. Definitely recommended.
Darkly comic meditation on heroism and destiny. The vocal performances are a little off-putting, for some reason. David Cross is the only actor who nailed his (or her) performance. Still, some laugh-out-loud moments and certainly worth seeing.
I must be alone because I found this to be boring beyond belief. Normally this is my bag. I loved the Madagascars, the Ice Ages (though also found Robots, Blue Skys other film, boring), Pixar et al. Recently only Despicable Me has hit home with both Megamind and Shrek Forever After just not delivering.
Fatalmuzza we will just have to continue to agree to disagree ;)
I expected this to be another animated movie that would be okay, but too predictable and not really very funny. Now that I've seen it, I have to admit I really enjoyed the (intentionally) super-stereotypes in story and characters, the humor that both children and adults can enjoy, and the pop references were just great!
Obviously not the best movie ever, but if you can appreciate animated comedies (and I guess you also have to be a boy to like the whole superhero/supervillain theme), this is one of the better recent animated efforts.
