Just watch the despecialized versions, where all the best visual sources have been combined to recreate a good looking original unaltered movie. Fantastic way to rewatch the original trilogy.

There is a reason I still only own it on VHS. Admittedly I own two copies of the trilogy but both are on VHS. Sadly, as far as I know, there is no DVD or BluRay of them from before Lucas started messing with the story.
