This English-language adaptation of the Swedish novel by Stieg Larsson follows a disgraced journalist, Mikael Blomkvist, as he investigates the disappearance of a weary patriarch's niece from 40 years ago. He is aided by the pierced, tattooed, punk computer hacker named Lisbeth Salander. As they work together in the investigation, Blomkvist and Salander uncover immense corruption beyond anything they have ever imagined.

I loved the Swedish version (which I watched first) and I loved this version. Both are disturbing and brilliant but I do have to say that if you watch the Swedish trilogy first, it will make the US version a lot easier to understand.
A very confusing movie had to watch it twice to undertsnad what it was all about. But over all good!
Not what i expected at all & a little disappointing but it was ok still a good watch.
Music/Cinematography much better in this version. Overall movie flow, tone, and direction goes to the original IMHO. I guess the rape scene is better in the new one...
