Great thriller, delightful satire, and it's short. A Bucket of Blood is a well sculpted black comedy with a very unique style that parodies the beatnik culture with a little bit of horror elements to it. It hits so many truths behind art and capitalism. It manages to be both really funny and genuinely scary because how relatable it is to this day. Dick Miller is great as a wannabe artist and the rest of the cast is decent. Hipsters never change.

I was suprised how good the characterisation were - in a camp and comical way. The dialogue does the job well. The idea of the story is bizarre and interesting. The setting also adds interest. Aged well.
