All Dogs Go to Heaven 2 is a lackluster sequel to the Don Bluth classic. Bored with Heaven, Charlie voluntaries for a mission to go back to Earth to recover Gabriel’s horn when it’s stolen by Carface. The voice cast is pretty good; Charlie Sheen, Ernest Borgnine and Bebe Neuwirth take over the lead roles, and Dom DeLuise returns as Itchy. However, the animation is rather poor and the character designs are dull and unimaginative. Also, the songs are generic and forgettable (though Sheena Easton’s love ballad “I’ll Always Be With You” isn’t too bad). A pale shadow of the original, All Dogs Go to Heaven 2 is a cheap an uninspired children’s film.
