Catwoman 2004

Have seen better, have seen worse. Not a "must-see" by any means. The outfit was worth it, though ;-)

Yes, it’s utter trash in just about every regard.
But, you can have so much fun with it, especially with the right amount of friends and alcohol.
It’s also the ultimate time capsule of the early 2000s.

This is one of my all time favourites, Halley Berry is an amazing actress and I love this movie just as much as I love titanic. It’s amusing, romantic, exciting and a lot of action. The story line is amazing and also it has cats, of course.

Honestly I don’t understand all this negativity

I just watched The Dark Knight Rises and thought I need to see that other catwoman movie. Now I can check this off my list of bad superhero movies to see. Just awful. There were countless cringeworthy moments.

Not the worst but also not one of the good ones. A lot of cheesiness and some bad CGI here and there. Completely another approach of the “Catwoman”. Nice idea but not done properly. 4/10

Even with measured expectations it’s surprising how cynical this film is. A studio threw $100 million at a movie only based on the idea that Halle Berry looks hot in leather and a mask. As bad as they are, the acting, screenplay, and CG all are better than the PS2 era loading screen esque score. A truly and objectively terrible film.

This movie has the worst CGI in any other movie that I have seen. Halle Berry is awful in this movie.

Not the greatest movie, no character development. We don’t know why somebody is anywhere or how they got there, or how the found someone but entertaining enough

Maybe Berry is not Pfeiffer, maybe the film doesn't have an ambitious plot, and maybe it is also stretched in few moments. However, as a superhero movie, it's watchable.

Catwomen are not contained by the rules of society. You follow your own desires. This is both a blessing and a curse. You will often be alone and misunderstood, but you will experience a freedom other women will never know. You are a Catwoman. You've spent a lifetime caged. By accepting who you are - all of who you are...you can be free. And freedom is power.

So...despite being such a Catwoman fanatic, I'm never left feeling anything nor wanting to rewatch so I can't say that I love it. There are bits that I do though and I know it's a commonly known bad movie but I just wish I had some personal resonance with it.

*The pop music vocalizing in every action and strutting scene is so goddamn annoying.
