Definitely NOT the typical Christmas romance movie. Don't expect a Hallmark-style movie. It's more of a spoof - lots of clichés, double entendres, sex talk, silly phrases, and swearing! More comedy than romance. Not for kids. (Vince Vaughn is a writer and producer.)
Justin Long at his worst. He's been funny before, but his character here was stupid.
It’s like if a hallmark movie had a baby with an inappropriate comedy. It doesn’t work for everyone but it worked for me! Justin Long as a deep voiced outdoorsy type is something that I didn’t know I needed.
I loved the humour. Haven't laughed so much at a movie in a while. Was expecting a Hallmark type movie but it definitely isn't. Every character was played very well. Loved Justin Long and the parents were definitely the best...just hilarious.
My new Christmas favourite ..not for kids though.
This is no Hallmark movie! The casting of Justin Long is what makes the movie for me. He is the exact opposite of the character he portrays, a rugged, straight-shootin' outdoorsman. It's like the writers envisioned Ben Stiller and Kristen Wiig, and the budget dictated Justin Long and Brittany Snow. This movie was refreshing and unexpected, but watch it after the kiddos have gone to bed.

WOW, this was awkward AND uncomfortable. Justin Long was the main issue for me, he wasn't funny or creepy like every other character he's played. However, Justin as the rugged, outdoorsy leading man just didn't feel right. This is one of those movies where you keep waiting for something to happen but it never does.
