Best looking DB movie so far. The thing that I hated were changes in Goku's origin. In DBZ his father hated him and didn't care about him because he was weak. He only cared about him before he died because he realised he saw flashes of Goku's future.
It seems that creators want DB to be more PG rated, stories are not gritty at all anymore, they are more comedic and there's not even a single drop of blood. I mean, I still love it and I get that they want more younger people to watch it, but this movie and DBS series could have been on another level if they went with more grittier version. The first series was more lighthearted, but when it got serious it was way less censored than DBS and this movie.
They really need to stop changing details in overall story all the time in anime/manga/movies.
The story is very disappointing... Some cool new visual effects, new techniques, some good scenes but not enough (by a long shot) to be better than the original unfortunately.
A very fun movie to watch.Aside from some fight scenes that seemed a little bit boring, the story, espacially the beginning and the music were on point.
I really think they've gone over the top with the new super series\movies and definitely over powering the characters. I've got to say I'm always gonna be a bigger fan of the 80s\90s original. I didn't think much of the film, It was nothing brilliant, made more for the money. I don't know why it got all the hype but got to give it some credit because it was better than the last two super movies and again rushed.
Absolutely brilliant., though for true dragonball/z fans, we will notice there were slight plot changes to the backstory of some of the characters, confusing yes but oddly enough i was able to accept this and relish in the thought., even the ending was unexpected, to the brolly, goku relationship we know and love., but i think, no i hope this totally out of the box view will pave the way for a sequel or further ‘DB Super’ movies., lets hope!!!,
Absolute great movie, for fans and non fans alike., a must watch title
I found the movie to be on par with the excellent dragon ball super tv series. The animations and the drawing are perfect !!! Also the ending is not the typical one may think :-)
Holy cow.... 2019 off to a great start... because these animations are insanely perfect down to every ...single ...snowflake! given that i've seen alot of different kinds of animated films/shows this is pretty much considered other-worldly. Amazing and different animations!! Top Notch!!! Huge Dbz fan here and I love that this is a soft reboot to every thing else dragon ball related! Broly is hands down still one of my personal favorite characters ever since '93's The Legendary Super Saiyan film.
So interesting to see where this movie leads.... next arc in the Dragon ball super anime series?!

I absolutely loved this movie holy shit!!! If you’re a fan of DBZ as a kid and relapsed as an adult, and when you see this movie as an adult mann! It’s like taking the highlights of DBZ and packing it in a movie! :fire::heart_eyes::100:
The animation is SO AWESOME! Fights, Effects, Visual style! This is the best I've ever seen Dragon ball look! The movie was popppingg on my OLED. Just extraordinary :fire::grin:

Loved this movie, I would've done something different with the story to implement more Saiyan history and continue on new episodes of Dragon Ball Super. But other than that, I think it was great.

Very good visuals that are on par with the series and a story about Broly that makes sense, although it feels a bit rushed at times and the a music could have been better.
A must watch for Dragon Ball fans!
As an avid lover of Dragonball and Broly I gotta say it was tolerable at best. They simply took to many short cuts explaining Brolys power and past. It makes Raditz story and explanation wrong if not a lie now in the beginning of Z to Goku. Honestly the fights where okay to much CGI and whatever the Negative time shit with Goku and Broly was Garbage. As much as I hate to admit it, this movie is exactly what I thought it was going to be. Just and over hyped decent Dragonball movie that is just an excuse to make Broly and Gogeta relevant and connon at the same time making a jumping point to the new series. All in all original Broly movie has a better story, better art and much much better music. Seriously WTF was with the music.
I never thought I would get to watch a Dragon Ball film in the cinema. I never expected it to be such a thrill ride. From start to finish this film is fantastic for fans of Dragon Ball and a like! The film starts slow with the backstory, a soft reset of the character Broly, and the way goku was send to earth etc. We see fan favorite Bardock, we see Goku's mother, King Vegeta, the Ginyu Force, Zarbon, Dodoria and many more. EVEN LITTLE RADITZ! But no Nappa :(.
We miss out on a few more characters like Krillin, Gohan, Videl, King Kai, Jaco and many more!
Anyway, after the see the backstory of Broly and Freeza gets involved, and the fighting starts, your heart will be pumping 'till the end. And everything looks so damn smooth, the fights never looked better, even the way they fight. GOGETA! FUSION DANCE HUMOR! Vegeta catching Bulma! What Freeza wants to wish! BROLY! VEGETA SUPER SAIYAN GOD! GOKU! GOKU! EVERYTHING! I AM STILL HYPED.
Yes, this was everything I wished for. Maybe don't take my five star rating for granted but I fucking loved and and I'm just so hyped and I love Dragon Ball, it's my youth, and I still watch it today, collect figurines, the whole bunch.
Anyway, yeah. I liked it!

The only good parts were the beginning and the ending, other than that it is filled with Useless CGI. Older Broly movies were far better than this one, and they have totally changed the story of Broly and the history of saiyans from the original one.
Even after watching the movie completely, it was not clear, Frieza was being Evil or just Amusing?.
Well, I hope they consider this movie as a canon and make Broly appear in the anime as well.
