George of the Jungle 1997

I saw this movie so many times as a kid and still remembered a lot of it when rewatching it now. Late 90s Brendan Fraser was a star. I loved all the 4th wall breaking narration and general silliness.

I forgot how frackn hilarious this movie is

Funny moments spread throughout, but the fabric joining them just doesn't hang together as anything one could reasonably call "cohesive". Characters are, um… Well, they show up on screen and say stuff that moves the story ahead, I guess.

That said, I'm certainly going to take and remember the gags that worked. ("Now comes the part where we throw our heads back and laugh." "Were you fighting with the narrator?" etc.)

Fair warning to everyone that has not seen this movie: it is CHEESY!. But I say that in the best way possible. It is more or less a live action spoof of Tarzan that breaks the fourth wall as much as it possibly can. My nostalgia kicks in hard for this film! Fraser and Mann deliver an infectious performance from start to finish that will inevitably make you smile!
