It was pretty good. But 201 minutes? Ugh.

1, Entertaining. It was woke before woke was invented.
2. Damn this movie is long. Possibly the olny minus.
Heard it was too long and boring so I watched it with low expectations. Turns out I really enjoyed it. I was invested in these people's lives. And I loved the final shot.

It's like Gone With the Wind meets Citizen Kane with a dash of To Kill a Mockingbird. Could have done with a little more time in the editing suite, but Stevens succeeds in telling an interesting story about generational conflict, romantic conflict, ethnic conflict, and the apparent inability of U.S. culture to progress.
