I'm really sick of the whole "porn is evuuuuhl" angle that this film was pursuing. All I saw was a bunch of nice but not very smart girls making some bad decisions and then blaming everybody but themselves afterwards - one went as far as to compare herself to a rape victim because she voluntarily took part in a scene she later regretted.
I got mad more at the weak support networks those girls had than the porn industry, the worst people in the whole film were one girl's family and friends - her obese mother and "music producer"(read: umemployed) boyfriend making her feel like shit and pressuring her into stopping her career, essentially calling her a prostitute as insult and her boyfriend not even defending her when people at a university party were making fun of her and looking up her porn.
This film glossed over some real questionable practices in porn and instead just highlighted that yes, a lot of 18 to 25 year old girls make mistakes and don't think things through. Hell, one of them thought she couldn't get pregnant if guys pulled out.

it's a movie-documentary, I believe a lot more could have been done portraiting the worst of the cons in the porn industry, I see it as more of a low effort missed opportunity of a good idea.
The cinematography aswell as the music is not bad, it's standard for what it should be in this genre.
It has a story of a person which had part in this industry, beside the actual documentary to change its pace.
Although the message of the movie is good I'm not gonna recommend it because these points I've mentioned are important and you can simply go on forums which talk about this subject and learn more than this film gives.
Low effort documentary, basically following the life of a few cam girls in a house in Florida. You will not learn much watching this
I find it a very enlightning documentary about the porn industry, it squares with everything that I've read. I definitely don't consider the "angle" that the film is pursuing is just a little part of porn, but the most widespread reality, and, it being so massively consumed and normalized, I think documentaries like this are plain necessary for people to take a look on what's behind (and these aren''t the worst things at all, just the most common).
A disturbing Netflix documentary, Hot Girls Wanted is an eye-opening look at the amateur porn industry. The film follows a group of young girls who come to Miami to break into porn; getting on the amateur porn circuit, doing photo shoots and videos. The girls and their agent are interviewed over several weeks as some of the girls dropout and others try to make a career out of it. The discussions are remarkably frank, and the filmmakers don’t pass any judgments (at least on-screen). However, they do include a number of unsettling statistics about amateur porn; the lifespan of the girls, the number and types of internet searches connected to it, and the money involved. Still, there are some problems with the pacing and constructing a narrative, as people seemingly drop in and out and the focus moves around. Yet, while it has some problems, Hot Girls Wanted is a solid film that explores an often overlooked and troubling element of the porn industry.

I feel like this documentary had all the opportunities to dig deeper into several issues and it never did. It was very nice to hear the stories of these women, and the movie was pretty well made, but it did little beyond illustrating what everyone already expected.
