This has been on my list for far too long. TCM aired it last year, but I didn't get to see/save it to dvr. Glad to finally see this on TCC. This is a great morality tale with hypnotic and disturbing cinematic depiction of eternal sufferings. The craftsmanship and creativity in this film are crazy. It’s amazing how good it looks considering the year the film was made and certainly a bit ahead of its time in terms of storytelling. I find the concept really intriguing but it's slightly slow at parts and gets repetitive about halfway through. But once it gets to the most memorable portion of the film, it's an absolute delight. It's simply disorienting, filled with multiple tortures and features some of the most horrifically surreal imagery you can find in a horror film.
