I was expecting something along the lines of the Japanese equivalents - but it isn't. It's a rubbish mix of ad acting, poor script, ennui, b grade scyfy and soft porn. Don't be sucked into this waste of time
I tried my best to suspend disbelief with this movie but I just couldn't get over Mako's hair style, surely an all service 'maid' droid would have perfect hair and not the tousled mess that we see, I can believe that the budget didn't stretch to a stylist and Faith West went into it with her normal every day hairdo.
I'm not sure yet if I'm noticing a trend with certain low budget movies that the direction is to have the score playing throughout the entire movie in the absence of any atmosphere created by the acting, lighting or cinematography but this is not the first movie where that happens and it eventually becomes distracting.
I can't think of any movie that I've seen that is worse than this, it certainly is bottom of the barrel and I would encourage anyone reading this review to save themselves 90 minutes of their life and watch something else ... or watch it and make your own mind up, you may get more from it than I did, who knows.
These review services should allow for a zero score, but since we don't have that I will give it a 1 and that is purely for the gratiuitous nudity and nothing else.
i found this a watchable movie. nothing over the top but the combination of the music and colors of this movie did it.
pretty dark , suspensefull and unsettling.

I'm not sure what I was expecting going into a movie called 'Maid Droid' but it certainly wasn't dramatic shower scenes of a man who looks like Cenk Uygur crying while a piece of music that sounds eerily like 'Time' by Hans Zimmer played over the top of it.
The movie follows Harrison, a man struggling to get over his ex, who decides to contact a maid droid agency. The agency sends out a robot that Harrison decides to call Mako, and very quickly he gets some of that robussy. But it's not long before things start going wrong and Mako has flashbacks of being mistreated by other clients in the past, which in turn triggers her to become a killer.
I don't think anyone will be surprised to hear that this movie is dreadful, and it's one that the more you think about it, the worse it actually becomes. Still, I did have a few laughs, though I'm not sure I was supposed to be laughing. As bad as the movie was, especially some of the acting, I must confess that I was glued to the screen the entire time. I do not blame Mako for anything she did.
