Masters of the Universe 1987

this movie has the power.

Really a great 'trash B movie', brings me a lot old memories.

And Frank Langella as Skeletor is killer.

80s dance - check!
Dead parents and a neverending feeling of regret that you killed them yet had no possible ability to do that - check
Other-worldly troubles with a thousand year old skeleton demon and his crew - check, check and check!
So 80s, and such a fun time!
Riddled with production issues, filming problems, money issues (Cannon basically closed up shop right near the end of the filming) - yet this thing is still tons of fun to watch and you can tell they all had fun making it.

Great nostalgic movie. Music is on point! Amazing cast and doesn’t deserve the flack. Also just realised that Courtney & Christina are in both this and FRIENDS also!

By the power of Greyskull! Masters of the Universe is a fun piece of '80s camp filled with action and adventure. The film re-envisions the series as a sci-fi epic; the battle for Eternia between He-Man and the evil Skeletor spills over to Earth after Skeletor orchestrates a daring sneak attack by using the Cosmic Key. Dolph Lundgen and Frank Langella lead the cast, which also includes Courtney Cox and James Tolkan. The acting is a bit rough, but visually it's a stunning film. The costumes and sets integrate fantasy and science fiction aesthetics exceptionally well. And the filmmakers really commit to this universe, creating an entire mythos and technobabble for Eternia. While it has its issues and is a bit cheesy, Masters of the Universe delivers an entertaining adventure.

Forget Rocky, THIS is peak Dolph Lundgren

PS: Frank Langella may play Skeletor but all I see and hear is Jack Palance.

Whoever in the casting office was like, yeah, I think Courteney Cox is a good actress, lets cast her. FUCK YOU VERY MUCH! Terrible at acting, not a shred of talent.

Based on the famous toys and comic book. Not too bad.
