So much talent, such a disappointment. What a shame.
It's a fun romp that I am probably way attached to because it came out when I was 11. Every time I watch it though its still enjoyable so I can't imagine giving it only a 7 as its one of the few films I come back to again & again.
People are way to hard on this movie. Suspend disbelief and enjoy the slap stick super hero spoof that is this gem.
Well, I finally decided to give this a shot after nearly 25 years of hearing how underrated and underappreciated it is.
And that's what I get for thinking, "eh, it's only 2 wasted hours if it sucks."
Gonna tell my kids that Captain Amazing is Homelander
Revisit after twenty years.
I changed my vote from 1 to 7.
This is so 90s, from the soundtrack to the full of talent wasted on a movie like this script. The skunk scene explains the rest of the 175 minutes. Just... ridiculous.
For me this movie was a bit of a letdown. I don't now how you can have all that comedic talent under one roof and not have a really funny movie. I think part of the problem is that giving the character's odd-but-not-funny personas it limited the kind of dialog that could be had. At one point Garfalo had a really sarcastic and funny line and it stuck out because there should have been a lot more of them in the movie.

It's very silly but a fun take on superheros.

The talent wasted in this unfunny monstrosity is fucking criminal.
