Our Kind of Traitor 2016

Such an improbable plot. Why on earth would you do anything for somebody you just met, who is obviously mixed up with the Russian mob? Especially if your wife is a successful lawyer

Beginning was very good. Later on it became a bit shallow. The acting and way of filming was very phenomenal and made up for the tiny mistakes tho. The plot was very interesting and unique and the British flair to it was way more appealing than most American brag-style flows. Ewan McGregor really should act more.. He's a really darn good and subtle actor. The cast was really amazing; I don't feel often that I wouldn't feel negative or annoyed by some, but with this they all were very well cast and really just made it all feel very natural. I would say 8.5 as a rating (thus making it 9 on here), but the kind of shallowness in the plot itself in the middle and later parts of the movie kind of makes it feel more like 8.1/8.2, so I'll stick with an 8. Deserves way more attention tho!

Good espionage type movie. Worth watching for sure. Solid movie. 8.5/10

Watched it on Netflix and there was no subtitles when the Russians spoke which was very annoying especially at the beginning of the movie.

This is a good spy film that I had never heard of. They're always better when you just discover them. Anyone looking for a John Le Carre thriller won't be disappointed with this. The kind of thing that I have to be in the mood for, but very well done with a great cast.

Boring. That's all I can say

I found this as I am doing a mini Naomi Harris's marathon. This is a clever spy thriller with a top notch cast executing great performances. It kept me on the edge of my seat as it mixed intrigue and danger heightened by the presence of right-minded ordinary people caught up in the machinations of villains, politicians and intelligence agents. I give it an 8.5 (clever) out of 10.

Not a bad film. I have to admit I preferred the book to the film. Slow to start and although it improved it didn't quite hit the tension of the novel. decent enough film though.

A well made thriller in the classic meaning of the word based on the book by LeCarré (have not read it so I can´t compare). Not fast paced or lots of action. Just the actors and a story. I like that.

But the story has one weakness in my opinion. Of course there has to be a stupid daughter or else there isn´t a showdown
