Project A: Part II 1987

Project A II is not as good as the first one. The plot is too complicated, and it all ends up rather confusing. The action is good when it happens, but the lull between the big action sequences are way too long. Though...the incredible ending might make up for some of it. The actors are good enough, but the movie suffers a little since there is no Sammo Hung nor Yuen Biao.

In short...

Too much of a complicated story, too little action and insane stunts to be up there with the Jackie Chan classics, but with the insane ending, it may be worth a watch anyway.

Film 95 (Goal: 300) of 2024

I'm going to keep this uncharacteristically brief, but I couldn't get into this at all. I don't know if I was in the mood for a foreign film but nothing connected here, unlike the first film which is fantastic. I echo the sentiments of a number of reviews I've seen. The plot is bogged down in confusing subplots and the action, while decent (it's a Chan film) is few and far between. Even the action scenes, feel less creative.

Some love this but it just didn't work for me.

The original name of the film is 'A' gai wak II. The first part of the series is 'A' gai wak or Project A. https://trakt.tv/movies/project-a-1983
