Saving Silverman 2001

There is no logical explanation as to why I (secretly) love this movie. It makes me laugh every. single. time. It must be the perfect casting, Steve Zahn especially. This movie and "That Thing You Do" are his two funniest roles, IMO. Neil Diamond's appearance (and actual role in the movie) is the icing on the inexplicably delicious cake.

Saving Silverman is a goofy comedy that reminds me a lot of the Farrelly brothers' movies - only without the signature gross-out moments. Okay, the ass implants may qualify, but...
The standout performances are from Zahn, and Black, who were perfectly cast here. Biggs also plays the past of doormat boyfriend very well.
The writing does feel a bit forced during the romantic moments, but not enough to be a problem. The spotlight is firmly set on the wacky shenanigans, and that's what we're all here for.
Not a masterpiece by any means, but it has some sweet moments, as well as a consistent comedic tone throughout. Plus, the ending is great - if only a little absurd, but who cares? I'm a sucker for a happy ending.

A true masterpiece, Jack Black and Steve Zahn are possibly the greatest comedic duo of all time it’s a shame they haven’t done more together.

"I don't have much time, guys. I have to go home and wax Judith's legs."

Steve Zahn and Jack Black make a good duo for sure. Not sure if it is enough for me to actually like this movie that much, but it did have its moments (there is a nacho scene that still cracks me up).

I've seen this 1000 times as a kid but never not on TV so I was surprised by some of the language. Still funny and I love some Jack Black.
