Scary Movie 2000

Yep, after ten years it's still a terrible movie, but still very very funny at times :D Goes without saying that it's only funny if you've seen the movies that are parodied (Scream, I know what you did last summer, exorcist etc.) Loved the Budweiser commercial parody: Wazzaaaaaaapp!!

Amazing. Funny. Perfect movie for me. Fits my humor.

Stupid, yet I laughed a lot. Most spoofs that followed were just awful and made you feel the need to shower afterwards.

But why? Scream worked perfectly fine already as a satire, this is mostly just a remake with more pervert/lowbrow comedy. It’s not parodying or commenting on the material like Spaceballs, it’s mostly a recreation. The jokes aren’t good at all, this is the type of 2000s low hanging fruit comedy that has generally aged like milk. Politically incorrect but without any sharp edge or challenging poignancy. It’s not dumb in a fun way, it’s dumb in a dumb way. It’s made for MTV teenagers who were still recovering from their Woodstock 99 hangover, and I couldn’t be happier that we’ve moved on from this.

Scary Movie is an excellent parody. It's so good it got ripped off badly all over the place. But the first one remains an awesome movie

Casual 2000s comedy. The fact that it's not only based on scream but uses other horror movies is genius. It even breaks the fourth wall. I love parodys, this is one of the best by far. Makes no sense, but that's the point of a parody, and it's realistic. The way it captured the vibe of scream too, crazy.

They just don't make comedies like this anymore.
It is not the best movie or comedy you will ever see, but it will still make you laugh.

The jokes still land and the humour is still funny,
like really funny.
Why why why do they not make them like this anymore, instead we get all this sjw pc,woke Garbage bull-crap

For me this movie was the gift that kept on giving,
I am a massive fan of all the movies it burns especially the Scream franchise. I absolutely love the Scream franchise so Scary Movie was always going to be
a win win for me.
I absolutely loved this movie way back when
and the feelings haven't changed.
It's really really naughty and that's what makes this fantastic movie a Hella lot of fun and definitely still one of if not the best of it's type.

A interesting and sort of creative plot for a comedy as it acts as a spoof making fun of cliche slasher films. It begins with an iconic scene of a young girl getting a mysterious call on her house phone from an alleged serial killer then chased by him and ending up dead but it makes fun of it the whole scene by pointing out the obvious cliche moments. The story continues as it follows a group that girls’s classmates being hunted by the same killer. There are some very bad poorly or overdone scenes about the cliches but also some unnecessary scenes. But overall a fun funny film.

You're either gonna love this or hate it. If your sense of humor is somewhat limited, you're gonna hate it. I laughed myself almost sick watching this. There were some scenes that the movie would've been just as hilarious without them, but still...I can't really take anything away from this. Satire at its absolute best.

While this is a good bad movie, the jokes referencing the ridiculous plots of other horror movies are still pretty funny.

The parody film Scary Movie is full of laughs, but the comedy’s real hit-and-miss. The main story parodies Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer, but there are bits of The Blair Witch Project, The Sixth Sense, and a dozen other films mixed in. Starring Anna Faris, Marlon Wayans, and Shannon Elizabeth, there’s a fair amount of talent that's able to handle this type of sketch comedy. However, the film parodies don’t always mix well, and gets overdone at times. Still, overall Scary Movie is outrageously funny and entertaining.
