A slow, brooding, unsettling psychological folk horror with genuinely spooky scares and a dark and twisted payoff at the end. It feels brutally slow at times but there's something about it that hooked me right in despite being incredibly tired. There's some outstanding beauty presented in every landscape shot. That's one of the great qualities of this film. It hits all the expected dealing with grief in horror tropes and a fairly subtle but ever-increasing tension accompanies the story quite nicely. The score is decent as well. I could see how this slow burn horror might be too slow for some but I thoroughly enjoyed this film.
