Spetters 1980

Spetters, translates roughly into "hot shots" as in.. ambitious young and attractive.
This 80's era story has it's rough edges and can be considered offensive and raw when looked upon with today's standards.
Yes, some sexual explicit scenes which is also very much dutch film tradition.
In my opinion it is necessary to support this story in a way not many other films do.
For me this film is a classic for the scenery and the 80's vibe.
Even now I like to refer to some of the dialogue!

Spetters is an advertisement for erectile disfunction.

There's a brief, non-simulated (gay) blow job scene and a brief, non-simulated lazy hand job scene, both involving members that are flagging at half mast, and a young man who can't get hard at the beginning.

So much for the controversy behind Verhoeven's 1980s Saturday afternoon fever motorcross movie.

Unfortunately, the film is all edge and no blade because like the ED this is an ad for, Verhoeven doesn't go hard enough to get us excited.

How long does it take to say nothing? It takes Paul Verhoeven 123 minutes.
