Its High School Musical meets Scream!
Sometimes funny, sometimes tedious... like many a school production.
The Legend of Beaver Dam was great so obviously I was looking forward to this. While it's an alright slasher part musical I wasn't amazed by it or felt the fun. Didn't help that the "metal" killer is so apparent and the promo art seen all over the place features an obvious spoiler...
This is probably one of the worst movies I have ever seen. You should watch it anyway.

Campy and fun, Stage Fright is a whimsical tale of murder and theater. When the Center Stage theater camp revives a production of The Haunting of the Opera a mysterious killer appears and starts killing off the campers. The musical numbers are pretty good; featuring catchy songs and impressive choreography. However, the story is kind of cliché and poorly told. The characters too are stereotypes without much depth. But despite its weak spots, Stage Fright is entertaining in a comically bizarre sort of way.
The songs are surprisingly decent, but as a horror/comedy/musical it kind of falls flat. The killer was cool, but the lead girl is far too mousey and annoying.
