This had a lot of potential. Sadly it fell flat.
A weird body shows up in a town which sets up a decent mystery. Nice practical effects for the body. It's creepy and has atmosphere. Hatchet vibes for the swamp, People Under the Stairs vibes for the house and The Void for the weird stuff. Some original ideas in here (some nonsensical ones too).
It started out full of potencial and intriguing enough but completely lost me in the second act, became uninteresting, silly and convoluted. Shaving off a good 20 minutes of this wouldn't hurt. Third act was cool for a minute with some good practical effects and makeup but I don't think the long second act is worth going through to see it. Bad acting, especially the Linda actress. It has a decent score in some parts.

I was on board at first with the whole particle accelerator creating a portal to hell but it felt like it turned into a low budget movie at the end.
