20 minutes in and I cannot find a single reason to keep watching it
Better written and more entertaining than the first.
What was I thinking? Not only is this an average horror at best, it also wasn't the sensible choice for me to watch this film today. Blindly pressing play is rarely a good thing, as I discovered to my cost.
Now this is a very different take compared to the first movie, this is a whole new concept. Didn't like it very much.
It's only after I started this that I remembered that I actually didn't like the first Gallows very much. Apart from the hangman there is very little crossover and the found footage is mostly dropped and replaced with computer screens as they attempt to connect this to a "viral internet challange" where people die IRL but no one notices that apparently. It all plays out generic mixed with teen drama (performed by actors who look too old for their haircuts) and a barely sensible conclusion. Textbook unneeded sequel.
