What a disgusting mess of a movie.

A 100 minutes movie that I watch in approximately 15 - 20 minutes by continuously skipping everything.

So, so terrible. Very Not Good.

this movie is awesome DON'T believe the negative comments!!!

Another over-hyped flick, it has just the skin of the great movies that it's inspired by but none of the meat.

Imagine Saw but instead of dark warehouses it's daytime in the jungle. The most horrific scene's I've ever seen.

there is nothing in the Quran that closely even suggest FGM(female genital mutilation).

Eli Roth should get his facts right. misinforming people! #ShiftvW8

Can't blame Eli for delayed movies carrying a certain kind of anticipation but it should at least be a little bit worth it. The highlights? It has gore... Lowlights? Pretty much else. Can't take a movie very seriously when it's randomly stupid. Trying to escape by putting weed into a corpse to get the cannibals high or starting to fap (with eye contact) when someone else just slit their throat... to release stress, haha?

Alongside those other underrated 'green' films - Hornet and Lantern - this isn't a bad horror provided you have the stomach for it.

Some good gory practical effects and that’s it, the script is silly and doesn’t deliver tension or fear, just boredom.

this movie is amazing! of course, it's not everyone's cup of tea but it has everything I need in horror: the plot builds at a good pace, it has suspense and just enough gore for the people with strong stomachs. overall amazing movie, couldn't taken my eyes off it.

Eli Roth is a special guy. He’s a fan of horror movies that makes HORROR EXPERIENCES. Things you don’t want or expect to see on camera, but the premise is so compelling you can’t look away. This isn’t his best work, but might be his most controversial. It’s really something to see, but not for those with a queasy stomach.

Rating: 3/5 - 7.5/10 - Worth Watching

I don't get ANY of the hype over this movie; I don't get the negative hype about all the sociopolitical commentary, and I don't understand the hatred over what a sucky movie it was. I also don't get the hype about how awesome it was and how it "paid homage to Cannibal Holocaust because it clearly was not an awesome movie and the only "homage" it paid was having a couple of cannibalistic scenes in it. First time I've heard of cannibals applying a dry rub, then taking the time to slow-smoke their meat. Most of this was so ridiculous it was hard to feel anything other than "How much longer?" I admit, after reading review about it, I went into it with some trepidation, wondering if it would be worth watching. I'll give Eli Roth credit where it's due, though: after Hostel his name carried (past tense) enough weight that I went with my instincts and watched this. Big mistake. This isn't a "horrible" movie and it certainly isn't a "great" movie; it's 100 minutes of time absolutely wasted. And there are far better ways to waste 100 minutes.

Cannibal Holocaust was meh (but oh that turtle scene), and this is meh squared. Why did this movie get green lighted ? (almost did not do that on purpose, slightly embarrassed, will leave it in)

What a terrible movie! Weak acting, idiotic characters, dumb script, unfunny jokes , plus there's some wrong information. The fact that he said he pay homage to Cannibal Holocaust is extremely laughable. The movie was not even close. Even the gore was very bland.

3 Thoughts After Watching ‘The Green Inferno’:

  1. The acting in the beginning was awful. But they were good at being scared, which sometimes seems like “enough” to some filmmakers when casting these b-movie horror films.

  2. I didn’t love it. I didn’t hate it. And it wasn’t as shocking as I expected it to be.

  3. The fart sound effects during one character’s violent bowel movement, Alejandro’s “release,” and the tribe’s munchies were absolutely ABSURD.

Any filme where americans ending get killed and eater by Indigenous People is a F*CK JUSTICE FILM! (just forget the Captain Jack Sparrow Indigenous Ver.)

It's at least a solid 8/10 for what it is.

So bad it's often unintentionally funny.
