Primarily a BBC TV series, Jonathan Creek also released six individual film-length stand-alone specials from 1998-2016. Among these was the two-hour episode entitled "The Grinning Man," released in 2009, which finds the titular Creek trying to solve the riddle of a haunted attic room that makes anyone who sleeps in it disappear.
