The Influence 2019

Not a bad horror but sadly not great, either.

It starts off pretty well and the twist as to why the grandmother is tormenting her children is a bit different and good. However, while they tie up the various talismen Victoria has taken from each of the children when Alicia finds them all lockets in her mother's wardrobe, they never explain (unless I missed it) why she also took her nephew's finger. If the reason for her turning evil was the accidental death of her husband at the hands of Alicia and Sara, then her nephew wasn't involved and wasn't even in the house! Bit of a plot hole there. They also seemingly forgot about Sara, who remains undiscovered in her garden....

I think the script/plot could have done with a bit of a once over but it was enjoyable enough, though is unlikely to receive a second viewing.

Once again, the evil wins.
