Once again Joseph Gordon Levitt stars in a great movie. He really knows how to pick them. Can't fault this movie, it keeps you interested all the way through. 9/10
This could have been so much more well explored. Liked the beggining but thats pretty much it. It just goes downhill.
Mostly slow in a boring way, plus the story hinges on various characters being dumb beyond belief from the very beginning. Zipping down the road to watch fireflies is counter-intuitive when you can just cruise it and enjoy the show for even longer, and equally nonsensical is not slowing down nor turning on your headlights after being asked twice by your passengers. This is the narrative establishing that if not a suicidal asshole, the kid's dumb as a rock, yet asking the viewer to empathize with him for the rest of the film.
Then there's the laughable idea that someone with his extent of brain damage would be given a car and allowed to drive unaccompanied, or left in charge of a bank at night, or that dudes planning a bank robbery would want to get such a loose cannon involved. Funnily enough, he was tasked with driving away security but at no point was THE LOOKOUT, since that job was handled by another member of the crew parked out front.
A very good movie from the first minute it had my attention.Nice perfomances as well. 7.5/10
a poor man's Memento.

Great film, super script and good performance from (Joseph Gordon) such a good actor and still is today, also good work from Jeff Daniel's on playing a good blind man.
