The Monkey King 2023

I had very low expectations for this movie, but it turned out much better than I thought. It was kind of all over the place but there were some fun moments. 7 out of 10.

This was very fun and the animation was extremely cool
It’s based on “Monkey Magic” which I had never heard of before
I also loved the queer-coded villain of Dragon King that was pretty iconic tbh

Decent overall.
I like the animation and the characters with an okay voice cast. I had a problem with the final act which was rushed and a certain character through me off.

Kinda all over the place, crazy... But a fun experience, something new and refreshing, after these last couple of years of terrible movies
