Unfaithful 2002

I love that they stayed together through the good and the bad. it's an interesting movie and I would love to see a bigger plot twist, but it was okay. for the year and time of the movie, it's a great movie. if this movie would launch today, would be a fair movie.
If you want to see it, I recommend it see it in a rainy day, with a hot coffee or tea. Hope you like it!

Diane Lane was incredibly deserving of her Academy Award nomination. Outstanding!

The affair is the only good part of the movie. Watch and delight in the many ways he takes her panties off.

Everything else is pointless. The husband goes to the man's home to confront him for sleeping with his wife and says, "May I come in?"

The guy says, "Sure, let me get you a drink." He doesn't even ask if the husband brought a gun or was going to beat him to death.

The husband didn't even have a reason for why he came. He just wanted to walk around the man's apartment, and touch all his stuff.

I started to think they were going to become buddies and keep their relationship a secret from the wife. That would have actually made a better movie than what happened!

And really, we never even know why she went to see the man and start the affair. Why now, why him?

Was it his sexy French accent, or his hair? But, Richard Gere is attractive too.

Watch it for Diane Lane's performance, anyway, and then write your own ending -- because Director Adrian Lyne didn't give us one. Lane is terrific in her only Oscar-nominated role. She sets a high bar for her portrayal of a woman suddenly caught in a bind after giving in to her sexual urges. There are a lot of roles like this, but few actresses have given so much depth and humanity to the character.

"There is no such thing as a mistake. There are things you do, and things you don't do."

Why was this so erotic back in the day? I can't explain it but Diane Lane nails it (heh) and Adrian Lyne knows how to make things look sexy. I don't have much else to add to this but it was entertaining rewatching this with my wife who kept saying "Oh so THIS is why you like this."

I’m not sure how I feel about this movie. Honestly… Divorce is a thing and while others find the story compelling because their relationship persevered.. Did it really? Or is it one toxic mess?
