When Marine Sgt. Nicholas Brody, who had been missing in action, gets a hero's welcome upon his return home following eight years in enemy captivity in Iraq, brilliant-but-volatile CIA agent Carrie Mathison doesn't buy his story. She thinks Brody has turned, is now working for al-Qaida and may be connected to a terror plot to be carried out on American soil. She then engages him in a dangerous game of cat and mouse that has America's national security at stake. But Carrie's questionable investigation methods land her in hot water with Saul Berenson, her longtime mentor in the CIA, who has gone to bat for her more than once but may now be alienated by her current investigation.

This show is pretty great. The building of characters, the locations and the stories, all has a very authentic feel. The actors are delivering, and for once the writers are doing a good job. This is one of those shows that doesn't give me something to nag about.
If you're into mystery, drama and a good portion of action, this is for you.
@BenFranklin: Agreed. That intro is terrible. The one you posted is much better.
So far this show is intriguing. I am interested in seeing where it goes and if this show will be a hit. I think its too early to give this show a totally ninja already, its too early. But who knows? Maybe at the end of the first season i might feel different about it.
So far this show has been a success & it has the potential to be even better then it's Showtime brother Dexter *Season 6*
But the the opening scene is probably the worst intro ever made - absolutely excruciating!
They shold've used this instead:

It looks like Showtime produced a new hit series. The actors are fantastic, the script is authentic and exciting. The viewer is drawn in the spell within the first minute of the episode and immediately wants to know more about the story and its characters in this realistic new drama. I only felt like this with the Wire and the Shield before. With Dexter and Homeland Showtime really has the edge on Sundays.
