Oreimo
For several years, Kyousuke's relationship with his younger sister Kirino has been cold, to the point that they only share greetings. But one day, Kyousuke finds a moe anime DVD fallen in their entry hall. His interest piqued, he looks for the owner, only to realize it belongs to Kirino. He's shocked, but more surprises lie just ahead...

A series with nice clean animation, some funny and enjoyable moments, and some very divisive characters (especially Kirino... you either love or hate her).

The biggest surprise for me is that despite the title of the series, and the main premise being about a guy and his little sister's embarrassing secret, the series itself is far, far less "incest-ey" (not a word, I know...) than the title would suggest. In Fact, Kyouske's interests later on in the series are most definitely set on another girl.

It's not the best series ever by any stretch and some episodes I found to be pretty dumb and unrealistic (even suspending disbelief has its limits). Your mileage may also vary depending on which of the characters you like, as some do seem to get more screen time than others (If you don't like Kirino, some episodes will be especially annoying). However, if you're able to look past that it's a series that is not without its charm. Some of the characters can be very endearing and it's nice to see a series that, in spite of its title, doesn't always play the excessive fanservice or incest card that so many other series of this type default to.
