An adaptation of SAS soldier Chris Ryan's novel Strike Back. John Porter, a former SAS Sergeant, and Hugh Collinson, a Section 20 officer in the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) took part in a botched operation on the eve of the 2003 invasion of Iraq where two soldiers in their unit were killed.

I'm glad i encouraged myself to watch it, from s01e01 it just gets better and better. Season 1 i would say was "so-so" / "ok" but season 2 is awesome.
