This was a good but kind of sad ending for the tv show The Shield. Vic got what he deserved. He is cut off from his family for good, has to do a desk job for the next 3 years and is responsible for the arrest and possible life in prison of his friend Ronnie. In the end he lost everything and it was for a large part unnecessary because Shane took his own life and that of his family, so there was no one who could have accused him of anything.

In the last few minutes when he is sitting at his desk over thinking things we see him coming to a conclusion. He gets his gun and walks away. I think he is either gonna kill himself or is finally going off the deep end and become a full blown criminal. Whatever it is he deserves it because he is no better than any of the criminals he caught in the 3 years he was in the strike team.
