Show opens with a recap of the Jeff Hardy incident.
Vickie Guerrero is in the ring. She complains about Triple H. Then down comes H. H actually says he's sorry. H says he's got Vickie's nude photos from the Great Khali…but only after Khali showed them to everyone and putting them up online. Vickie tells him that's not good enough and his Royal Rumble spot will be on the line in a Last Man Standing Match against The Big Show. Vickie leaves, but H then has her photos shown on the Titantron. (For sanity's sake there was a huge black bar blocking everything) Vickie then tells him that MVP will be facing the Big Show, not him & he's banned from ringside.
Match #1: Finlay w/Hornswoggle & Matt Hardy vs Jack Swagger & Mark Henry w/Tony Atlas. Hardy pins Swagger.
Edge is talking to Vickie when Chavo comes in with The Big Show.

Vickie says the Edge will be in the Chamber, but will not compete tonight. Then The Big Show comes down and tells Edge the he will lose the belt at No Way Out. Edge & The Show yell at each other until Vickie stops them and tells the Show that he will compete in a fatal four way against Triple H, The Undertaker & Vladimir Kozlov.

Match #2: Eve vs Maryse. Michelle McCool was at ringside for commentary. Maryse pins Eve, then Melina attacks Maryse and Michelle attacks Melina.
Contract signing between Edge & The Big Show. Show signs, but before Edge signs, John Cena arrives and attacks both Edge and the Show. Cena then stares down Vickie Guerrero, then whispers something in her ear.

After the match all eight men brawled with each other. Christian grabs a ladder and goes to get the Money in the Bank briefcase, but Finlay pushes it over send Christian flying over the top rope off the ladder on to the other men. Finlay and Hornswoggle climb the ladder and just stand on it.

Druids come out all dressed in white. Shawn Michaels comes out mocking Taker doing the full Undertaker entrance and is wearing all white instead of black. He reads passages from the bible.He says how him and Taker represent darkness and light.He talks about have eternal life and how Taker's Wrestlemania winning streak doesn't and when they face at mania Takers streak will come to an end. He says how he will take taker to hell at mania and only HBK will arise victorious. As HBK is dancing in the ring, undertaker comes up from the ring and attacks HBK. Taker tries to drag HBK down underneath but HBK keeps fighting, trying to escape. Undertaker goes for the chokeslam but HBK escapes and runs up the ramp. As Taker stares at HBK on the stage HBK dances and laughs at Undertaker.
MVP, CM Punk, Mark Henry & Kofi Kingston vs Christian, Kane, Shelton Benjamin & Finlay Winner:Christian, Kane, Shelton Benjamin & Finlay, When Kane scored the pin on CM Punk after he hit a chokeslam.
After the match all eight men brawled with each other. Christian grabs a ladder and goes to get the Money in the Bank briefcase, but Finlay pushes it over send Christian flying over the top rope off the ladder on to the other men. Finlay and Hornswoggle climb the ladder and just stand on it.
Jesse & Festus vs The Big Show Winner:The Big Show when he pinned Jesse after hitting his knockout punch.
Matt Hardy is in the back and he is holding and petting a dog. He talks about Jeff losing every thing in the house fire last year.He says how he can't wait till Wrestlemania and how he is going to take Jeff to the extreme at mania.He starts to kiss the dog.

John Cena comes out, he talks about Wrestlemania. He talks about taking back the title. Big Show comes out. Big Show talks about being in love with Vickie and how it makes him strong. Big Show challenges Cena to a match on Monday Night Raw and Cena accepts. Cena dumps Show over the top rope as he tries to leave.

Matt wants Jeff to come down and apologize to the fans for being a disappointment and for being his brother, and then Matt will send Jeff out of the arena on a stretcher. Jeff Hardy comes out and makes his way slowly to the ring, but Matt bails as soon as Jeff gets in. Then the once and future Smackdown GM Teddy Long comes out and says the because of the upcoming draft, the brothers my be leaving Smackdown, so tonight they will face off in a Stretcher Match.

Edge comes to the ring and he talks about what happened at Judgment Day and that he is the face of Smackdown. Edge says he is the premiere superstar and Jeff Hardy is not in his league. Smackdown GM Teddy Long then comes down and tells Edge that because of Matt Hardy's interference, Jeff Hardy gets a rematch at Extreme Rules. Edge complains that everyone keeps making excuses for Jeff and he's sick of it and Hardy got beat by him and not because of Matt and that Jeff is not World Champion materiel and a failure. This naturally brings out Hardy. Hardy tells Edge that he is a competitor and that Extreme Rules every match is Extreme and they should wrestle tonight and whoever wins gets to pick the match they have. Edge complains to Teddy Long that Hardy can't make his own matches, Jeff then wanders through the crowd asking if they want to see the match tonight. Teddy Long decides that the match will happen.

As expected, this brings out Chris Jericho and proceeds to run Mysterio until Rey tells him to shut up and that Jericho's word is worthless. Jericho ignores Mysterio and instead badmouth Mickey Rourke who is sitting in the front row. Jericho the turns back to Mysterio and wants to know why he hides behind a mask and that he will rip off the mask. Jericho tries to sucker punch Mysterio but Rey gets the better of him and Jericho runs off before getting hit by the 619.

The show opens with ladders surrounding the ring and down the aisle. Edge then comes down to start The Cutting Edge and he says that tonight's show will be about the upcoming Ladder Match against Jeff Hardy. Hardy then comes down and climbs up a ladder. Edge tells him what he's going to do to him at Extreme Rules, but Hardy says that nothing Edge says matters. Edge then slams the title belt into Hardy's head and shoves the ladder over.

Chris Jericho comes out and bad mouths the fans for liking Rey Mysterio.

Show opens with a recap of the Ladder Match at Extreme Rules and the aftermath with CM Punk. Then, at the event tonight, CM Punk comes to the ring. Punk says he didn't steal the World Heavyweight Championship he simply cashed in Money in the Bank and used it like it was meant to. It doesn't make him a bad guy and he's never done what's popular, just what's been best for him. Punk says he will represent the entire brand. Then Jeff Hardy comes down. Hardy tells Punk that he cashed in on the wrong guy. Punk tells him that he was cashing in regardless of whether Hardy or Edge won that night. Hardy calls him selfish and he wants his rematch tonight. This brings Edge down. Edge says that if anyone gets a rematch it's him. Edge says the Punk wants to be just like him, but Punk will never be Edge. Edge tells Hardy that he doesn't deserve a rematch and Hardy sucker punches Edge. Then Hardy hits the Twist of Fate and Swanton Bomb on Punk. As Hardy celebrates, GM Teddy Long comes out and says the Punk's first title match will be on Raw against the winner of Edge vs Jeff Hardy tonight.

CM Punk then comes out and congratulates him and says he should start writing his Hall of Fame speech now. Hardy says he's tired hearing Punk say the same thing week after week, (which is what happens all the time anyway) and Punk tells him it's because Hardy doesn't listen. Then it's the usual back and forth about who will beat who. Hardy eventually shoves down Punk, but Punk won't fight back because he has a match next.
Match #1: John Morrison vs CM Punk. Morrison pins Punk.
Layla comes down to dance. Ricky Ortiz then comes down and annoys everyone.

After talking about how much pain he is, he talks about the return of the Undertaker and that it's unfair that tonight he has to be in a cage match. He says that he's better than Jeff Hardy and he'll just prove it once again, This brings out Jeff Hardy. Punk says he's fed up with being booed and people cheering Hardy so he challenges Hardy that tonight the loser is thrown out of the WWE. Hardy agrees. Then Teddy Long comes out and says that since they agree, the match is official. Then he tells them that the winner of the match will be in a submission match against the Undertaker.

Then Teddy Long comes out and says that since they agree, the match is official. Then he tells them that the winner of the match will be in a submission match against the Undertaker.

Melina tells Maria that she saw Dolph Ziggler with another woman at Summerslam. Maria says Melina is just jealous of her.

Match #3: Melina vs Layla. Michelle McCool was at ringside for commentary. Melina pins Layla.
Match #4: Rey Mysterio vs Kane. Mysterio wins via DQ. After the match, The Great Khali comes down after Kane and Dolph Ziggler attacks Mysterio.
Match #5: Chris Jericho w/The Big Show vs Shad w/JTG. This ended when JTG attacked the Show. Teddy Long came out and say the match will now be a tag team match.
Match #5b: Cryme Tyme vs Chris Jericho & The Big Show. Show pins Shad.
Jeff Hardy is finishing up his face paint when Matt comes up and wishes him luck.
Match #6: Cage Match for the World Heavyweight Championship, Loser leaves WWE: Jeff Hardy vs CM Punk. Punk escapes the cage to win.
After the match, Jeff Hardy gets on the mic and says this is not goodbye forever, just goodbye for now.

After mocking the Undertaker's gimmicks he says that he has no breaking point. Matt Hardy eventually comes down and attacks Punk.

Jericho yells at the Big Show for not helping him against Batista in the locker room.

He says he beat the Undertaker and wants to know who he's facing next since there isn't anybody important left. Cue the Undertaker's druids who come to the ring bearing a coffin. Punk gets a chair ready to bash the Undertaker, but Teddy Long is tied up inside instead. Punk pulls Teddy out and unties him and Teddy says that the Undertaker's submission hold is no longer banned and the in Hell in the Cell Punk will face the Undertaker inside HIAC, (surprise) plus, Punk will face the Undertaker tonight.

Cryme Tyme initiate Slam Master J. J defaced Teddy Long's office and Teddy tells him that he has a match tonight.

Due to Jim Ross' ongoing illness, Matt Striker has been moved from ECW to Smackdown.
Smackdown GM Teddy Long comes to the ring and congratulates Team Smackdown for winning at Bragging Rights and talks about Batista attacking Rey Mysterio. Then Chris Jericho comes out and demands that since he was the one who got the pin at Bragging Rights he should be in the title match and not The Big Show. Out comes Kane, who demands to be in the title match as well. Before Kane can chokeslam Jericho, Teddy tells them that if Raw is going to have a Triple Threat match then Smackdown will do the same thing, so Kane vs Jericho and the winner is in the match.

In what was supposed to be Drew McIntyre vs Finlay, Drew gets on the mic and congratulates Team Smackdown and he didn't want to be on the team in the first place. As Finlay comes down, McIntyre jumps him in the aisle, so there was not match.
Cryme Tyme comes down for the Diva's Halloween costume contest. Mickie James was dressed as Elektra, Natalya was apparently a bullfighter, Layla was Michael Jackson and Michelle Mcool was a devil girl. Mickie wins.
Match #4: Scott Armstrong vs CM Punk. Punk pins Armstrong.
Match #5: Chris Jericho vs Kane. Jericho pins Kane.

Due to Jim Ross' ongoing illness, Matt Striker has been moved from ECW to Smackdown.
Smackdown GM Teddy Long comes to the ring and congratulates Team Smackdown for winning at Bragging Rights and talks about Batista attacking Rey Mysterio. Then Chris Jericho comes out and demands that since he was the one who got the pin at Bragging Rights he should be in the title match and not The Big Show. Out comes Kane, who demands to be in the title match as well. Before Kane can chokeslam Jericho, Teddy tells them that if Raw is going to have a Triple Threat match then Smackdown will do the same thing, so Kane vs Jericho and the winner is in the match.
Match #1: John Morrison vs Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler wins via count out.
Teddy Long is in his office when Vince McMahon comes in and says that Teddy may come off probation when CM Punk complains about The Big Show getting a title match and he's not in the match to add to the triple threat and complains about Scott Armstrong. Vince says he'll give him what Punk wants, Punk vs Scott Armstrong.
