Wow, that interrogation scene with Ani was so fucking dumb.
Cop: "So you're gonna tell me who did it?"
Ani: "Yeah, but before that I'll rat out every single other person and reveal their darkest secrets because they all had motives, even though none of them actually did it. iT's AlL AbOut HomECOminG NigHt ANd EverYOne HAd A ReAsoN!!!"
Speaking of my biggest complaint - Fuck Ani. I barely made it through this season and was close to dropping it because I couldn't focus on anything else than how goddamn annoying and bad her character was. And now she's a love interest and will be in the next season. Holy shit.
I'm not satisfied that they shifted the blame to Monty. Not at all. It just feels so frustrating to watch how that goddamn Mary Sue even convinced a cop to lie. Yes, it was his son, but it doesn't feel any better. This is not How To Get Away With Murder.
What will the next season even be about? Who killed Monty and that gun from the ocean (had to read comments to figure out that was Tyler's bag from season 2)? And wasn't Bryce having some "blunt force trauma" and a gaping hole in his head? But guess that isn't relevant anymore...
I said it before and I'll say it again - Bryce should've been the narrator. We should've seen from his perspective how and why he tries to becomes a better person. As an unreliable narrator it would've made more sense to see him being nice suddenly. Though that part still doesn't make sense to me - Why did he suddenly try to get better? Because some rich kids made mean comments, he fell in love with a "special girl" and had an epiphany? Nah, miss me with that shit and try better. We're talking about the guy who got hard thinking about rape and showed no remorse until this season. His scenes were nice, but made no sense to me in the bigger scheme of things.
All Monty's dad cared was that it was done to a boy, not that he committed a crime, like being gay was the biggest shame. No wonder Monty was so repressed. Monty was a product of his upbringing. He didn't deserve to die, and have a crime he didn't commit pinned on him
Honestly, they should’ve stopped at season 2, if not 1. Season 3 was an OK watch, but I don’t like them pinning it all on Monty in the end (even if he was a piece of shit). I like to think Winston did the right thing and told the cops Monty was with him.
Bryce dying like that just lol. I think how they tried giving him a redemption arc was way too rushed. Dude had no remorse for two seasons and suddenly he is a changed man? Over night basically? Ya know, except when he gotta have a burst of anger to give Alex reason to push him into the water. Gotta make Alex look good after all, give him reason.
Did they hire a Riverdale writer for this or what. “Let’s pin the murder of rapist #1 on rapist #2 and then conveniently kill rapist #2 in jail. They all live happily ever after.”
Wooohooo this episode is fucked up
Alex FUCK YOU, you've been the killer all this time and when Zach wanted to confess you told him no let the police have Clay even tho you knew he was innocent.. You bitch, Clay was always there for you and others but your ungrateful ass didn't deserve that
Also how convenient is Monty's death, omg it's like the writers were fucked and came up with this stupid shit within a day.. Also Monty is awful yes but framing him like that is really fucked up and wasn't like them at all to do so, therfore I think the writers screwed up with this storyline cuz Clay wouldn't frame someone innocent and protect a killer
Also Ani WTF is wrong with you, before you wanted to do everything to find the killer and started suspecting Clay your friend but now it's your own idea to protect Alex who's the real killer.. This absolutely doesn't make any sense
And Jessica in this episode you suddenly like Alex back and appreciate him but in previous episodes you two were not getting along and it doesn't seem like you share this huge secret together
At the end I just wanna salute Zach for coming forward and fuck Alex & Jessica for letting Clay almost go to prison
I wouldn't lie, this season was fun despite all the flaws of plot holes and the confusing timeline, looking forward for season 4
The ending was so disappointing. What the hell was that? For them to be rallying for justice (or whatever) but twists the truth to fit their narrative was so fucked up.
ps: so are they really relying on confessions and "witnesses"? no forensic results to back it up? no? ok then. CASE CLOSED.
What a disappointing, ridiculous, boring season with most annoying new character: Ani.
Why did this season exist? Why will there be even a fourth season?
I'm so fucking confused. Why the fuck is Ani helping cover up shit? The writers must be morons. 2/10 because the music has been decent.
I think this season caught me of guard the most. Not because of who did it because I had a feeling about that but by the outcome of the total story. I love that Tyler got better, the slide show of photos he took of himself had me in tears, I think this sends out such a powerful message of hope, that it CAN get better. It also came as a total surprise to be that I could still find sympathy for Bryce and that in the end he was just a very problematic kid with a whole bunch of issues that he truly struggled with before he died.
Monty had a very sad story yet where I found sympathy for Bryce I never got that for Monty, maybe his backstory and motives weren't explored and focused on as much as Bryce's but when we hear that he died I didn't really feel much because we saw mostly how he acted out, and we saw the effects of what he did to Tyler more than the reasoning behind his anger.
I was touched by the end where Tyler shows everyone the portraits he took and I love that they all came together in the end because I truly believe that that is the most important message of the show. Be there for each other and be kind.
I am actually appalled by this episode ... the first season was GREAT, addressed real problems, the tragedy that can sadly follow them and the RIGHT way to handle them, but to go from that to "hey, lets all band together and get away with murder" (even if it was a rapist) is SO NOT COOL!! That is definitely not the right message to send ... shame on you Netflix, no wonder you are slowly going down the drain.
I am wondering about one thing: How was Zach able to bust Bryce's knee while having busted knee himself?!
I really like the way things were buttoned up. I didn't like the Bryce tape. I don't mind that they portrayed him as sometimes wanting to be better. The way the show crammed it in at the end had me gagging on it.
I don't feel bad for Monty. In fact I'd like to think Tony had his cartel friends take out Monty. If you and your friends can't waste a few assholes and get away with it, what good are they? Of course they should have (and need to) kill that guy Winston. He's a lose end.
And 13 reasons why S03 suddenly becomes How to get away with murder S01 :type_1_2:♂

What an absolute nonsense of a season.
