It's a pity that the crux of this otherwise entertaining story relies on some hilariously outdated ideas regarding a woman's worth because there's some great quips in the opening half's dialogue, mainly from Enid Markey's character. While she may look older than her years here (as most people seem to back in the 40s/50s era), Leora Dana was only 33 and I would say attractive so it does seem amusing from a modern perspective that she's supposed to be mousy and verging on unattractive!
