Definitely a step down from the great first season. This season was still good, and it had a few very high points, but it also had way more lows than the first season, which honestly surprised me considering it was basically half as long. There was way too much time devoted to just telling backstory in this season. Too many episodes that just kept flashing back in time. Not enough time spent in the present. Still good watching though. Looking forward to season 3.
"Attack on Titan: Season 2" manages to keep the show as fresh and entertaining as its opening seasons, even though it pretty much follows the same structure with different villains and a couple of more mysteries thrown in. It feels like the purpose of these episodes is to prepare the ground for what's coming next rather than adding something new. We are starting to stop seeing our favorite characters dying, but as the stakes involved are getting exponentially bigger, the fights are getting to epic proportions.
8.5, 9, 8.75. Great season.

Just amazing and lives upto it's expectations but not as great as season 1 has some boring mid parts like with sasha backstory, etc.
But the adaptation was really well done, I read manga way early and all of details were adapted accurately + the bgm, my god.
I will forever remember scenes such as Finding out Reiner and Bertholdt's identity, final battle, finale scene, etc. just because how well they were made with perfectly damn suited background scores.
Can't wait for the final showdown with Colossal titan and Armored titan which takes place in Season 3.
Reveal it only if u read S3 manga! You've been warned! Also Levi slicing up the Ape titan and his Uncle Kenny, can't wait to watch those parts animated. NEED AN ADAPTATION ASAP!
