Mind Blowing. JMS is a genius. There's nothing even close to this level of writing today.

I love this two parter. Seeing Sinclair again, the riddle about Babylon 5, the interaction between all the characters, the foreshadowing of Sheridan and Delenn's future (and Londo's). Honestly, this show takes time-travel episodes to the next level.

Frankly, the only misgiving I have about this episode isn't really about the episode itself but maybe the placement within the series. It would have been a marvelous final episode had Sinclair stayed the lead character. But the way the series progressed with Sinclair leaving at the end of season 1 it turns into kind of a self-contained movie that doesn't really influence the ongoing Shadow-storyline of season 3 all that much.

Anyway, that's just my nitpicking me talking. In itself, this episode simply works. It's focused and very linear as there's only one major storyline... and it's a very human story about the question whether one's life is predestined, of saying goodbye - and going on despite loss. And the ending... of course, foreshadowed, but still very satisfying.

Wow, that was the best written time travel episode(s) I've ever watched! If this show keeps up at this caliber, I'll need to go back and adjust my ratings for the earlier seasons lol.
