First drama series in my native language I cared to watch. And had to binge watch. Gripping story telling. Superb performance of the actors and actresses. Amazing production design. From the beginning to the end. And to my surprise, the second season was even better than the first one.
Excellent period drama - a lot of happening with the subplots etc. Intrigue a plenty, with events happening in the pre WW2 period in Europe. If one likes intelligent historical drama, then this is highly recommended by moi.
Me as a native speaking German am kinda curious if Netflix dubbed the show for their English speaking audience. Since I can't find nothing 'bout this topic online I'd be thankful for any response.
Blergh. Didn't even make it through the first episode. Not sure what all the hype is all about, it felt like utter crap to me. Painful to watch.
It is a masterpiece compared to other German productions. But that is not a high bar. But I like the show; but it needs a few episodes (8 or so for me) to grow on me. Most characters are very good written and likable.
They could have work a little bit more with the smaller side stories of the characters. One person dies and a other one gets blind and both stories end very suddenly. They could have given both storylines a little bit more time after these things happen.
crap.. i stop watching it after epi 2 in season 1

Top quality series: First of its kind in German TV history. Intense dramatic story about the roaring and challenging years around 1929 time in Berlin. A clear „must see“ recommendation.
