This is a fun show they got the comedy part and thriller is average it keeps us guessing but there is a lot of nonsensical actions by the characters that let the killer get away everytime and the police act like idiots/hare running in a wheel when villagers are getting killed every other night.
The glaring plot holes , very very timid nature of Ye-bun and he squeaky voice "Seon-woooo~ shi" make it more irritating to the point that I didn't even feel anything when he sacrificed himself for her despite her doubting him at the fag end
The nonsensical plot hole include :
1. Why doesn Seon-woo not report to cops or atleast warn Ye-bun/Min-ki on shaman
2. Shaman was always creepy but was getting substantially creepy noticeable as he killed more people but nobody including Ye-bun noticed till the demise.
3. If they are going to find Ok-Hee by using directions they should have tried first before trying to release but on hindsight that was their only change to comply and didnt expect him to trap them with the goons.
This would have been even mor enjoyable show if was cut short to 12 episodes and they stress too much on Seon-woo & Ye-bun backforth if they are not going to go all the way.
What a disappointment. This show begins with such promise.
This show is a train wreck and there are no survivors.
What a waste. While a bit all over the place, the show starts in a mostly charming and zany. It begins to gel and improve Seems to hit a groove. Unfortunately, a group of insane terrorists from another planet then kidnapped the entire crew, threw everything out a window and forced the cast to continue the production on the fly live under the guidance of the most inept moron that's ever existed. This is the only explanation for what happened.
This show begins as a silly and absurd heightened romantic comedy filled with subverted tropes. A little over a third in, it takes a left turn. It's tonally all over the place, often jarringly so (outside the normal thresholds of comparable programs associated with the culture). The showrunners appear to have no idea what was happening next or how the show was going to come to a close. Approximately half the show, if not more, is filler. The ending is drawn out and seems to be tacked on from a completely different show.
As the season progresses, it becomes unintentionally hilarious... and is so bad it makes you question if the promise it showed was a fluke and undeserving of that interpretation. It then gets worse and makes you question the meaning of life.
I watched the show with someone and in order to make it through, we would make ludicrously awful guesses at how the show could proceed... and were often right.
A large number of significant events occur that are never followed up on. The show also features several characters that disappear and others who are incredibly annoying and seen to be from a different show. This season could easily be used as in classes as the epitome of how to ruin a show.
When you create a world, you can do whatever you like. The only thing you can't do is break the rules of your world. This show randomly breaks it's own rules at an increasing rate as the show progresses. I'm not counting trends, tropes, idiosyncrasies, or running bits specific to this or, more broadly, South Korean shows.
Towards the end of the show, it just became a hate watch. It's challenging to comprehend how bad and messy the show becomes. It may make your head explode, Scanners style. It's nigh unbelievable.
Also, do a little research. Things presented in this show seem like they were written by someone from another planet with no understanding of how things actually work - from professions to people... to common sense... to logic... to yarn spinning 101... Oi vey.
You did what?!? --- Aside: Kids... really? That's just... ugh. No. Just no.
What happened? Seriously. Did the writers and showrunners get abducted by aliens after the first few episodes? Was the remainder of the show managed by puppies traumatized by having their heinies groped and then, instead of being edited, thrown into a blender? Is this just a huge troll? A tax write off? Did those involved in this dumpster fire take turns coming up with the worst possible ideas, pinning them to a dart board and then blindfolding one another and take turns throwing darts until they stuck? Is that how they did it? Why are incompetent people paid to fail like this when there are so many talented people in the world (some of whom were involved in this production)? What a let down.

I had a very tough time getting into this show and thought about quitting it more than once. But I'm glad I stuck with it, as this is one of those shows that gets better towards the end.
Shows that revolve around a killer are very hit or miss, since ultimately the identity of the killer is always what makes or breaks them. Viewers spend 90% of the show trying to guess who the murderer is and their motives, so if the reveal is unsatisfactory, it kind of ruins the whole thing (or at least it does for me). Here, I wasn't mad about the shaman being the killer, but I wish his motives would have been something else other than "psychopath". Like, this guy never actually killed or hurt anyone before getting his psychometric powers, so was that what turned him into a murdered? It doesn't make much sense.
Personally, I think trying to combine a serial murder plot with plenty of comedic moments was ambitious, and for the most part, it worked pretty well. The only parts I really, really disliked were the ones about the aunt and the police captain's romance (particularly the scenes of their "teenage" selves). Honestly, their story line added nothing to the plot other than profound cringe. Conversely, I always laughed at the guy calling Ok Hee "eonni". They were also a little cringe, but in a purposeful way that actually meant to be funny, and that's why I think they worked better. Their storyline was so silly and ridiculous, that it became endearing.
The call back towards the end to Ye Bun learning arabic during the first few episodes was a nice touch. At the same time though, Seon Woo could have just called Ye Bun and told in arabic that the shaman was the murderer, or sent her a text. Kind of a plot hole, really.
Other than that, the acting was good, the OST choices interesting, and a whole bunch more people than I ever could have guessed ended up dying. For a comedy show, there were a surprising amount of tears.
