This episode makes me cry a lot, Why does a beautiful love relationship have to end?
For a comedy, this episode was super dark and dramatic.
People rating this episode one star is absolutely madness. I get that you watch this show to have fun, laugh, if you want drama you pick other shows, but you can't deny this was executed to perfection. Beautiful cinematography and real issues that every couple has dealt with. C'est la vie!

For a comedy, this episode was super dark and dramatic. They even broke out Coldplay!
I've never seen the movie Blue Valentine, but I'm guessing it's a lot like this episode.

Normally this show tackles important issue but always maintains a hopeful and funny tone. They really caught me off-guard this time though. I know many folks might be upset by the relentless seriousness of this episode, but even though the topic was painfully close to me, I appreciate the writers challenging the audience more than usual this time. Now, please, make me laugh again.

Oh, I loved that flashback scene between Ruby and young Andre.
I was a little unsure of the stylistic choices of the episode, the lights and colors, were too obvious for my taste and I think it actually kind of ruined the very sensitive topic (the Coldplay song did not help either, but that is just personal taste). Still, the overall result was not bad. The dialogue was a great approach on the subject of marital crisis and very well written, and Ross and Anderson delivered the lines and the emotions just right to make it real. Really a pity that the visual of the scene and soundtrack did not keep up with them.
