• What a lovely speech by Simon in front of the Queen!
  • Violet and that awful wedding night talk leaving Daphne even more oblivious! :joy:
  • Eloise and the Queen gossiping about Lady Whistledown was everything!
  • Colin proposing to Marina??? WTH was that?!
  • The whole inn scene was perfection from start to end!

That ran the entire gamut of tense, romantic and sensual. I'm a little speechless here.

Honestly, I really appreciated that love scene. A lot of movies and TV shows focus on the physical aspects of sex. This show focused much more on the emotional aspect. In some ways, watching this scene was healing for me. I have spent most of my life being told sex was "naughty" or "inappropriate," and then having that reinforced by the way some movies and TV shows treat it as scandalous (which this show does in a way due to the time period). But this scene made it more apparent that it was an expression of their love for each other. I just really appreciated that.

I think I got lactose intolerance from so much cheese.

Well... that was a little bit awkward.

Romance for people who have never met a single human being, effectively screwing up the idea of love for people who believe in grand, phony gestures a world of glittering clouds. Cringeworthy "romance" battled with cringeworthy "acting" and made me all but puke in my mouth. Thanks but no thanks - I am out.
