Thoroughly enjoyed this trippy romp into the apocalyptic at the time of the Claudian invasion of Britain. Like Neil Gaiman let loose on a Henry Treece book. At times funny, weird, and gory, it never fails to make you wonder what is going to happen next. Cast was great throughout. My only initial sense of disquiet was at first the use of Hurdy Gurdy Man as the theme which didn't help to create immersion in what honestly is fantasy, but this eventually grew on me. The visuals were very good, and the costuming and make-up stood out. I believe there is a second season in the pipework, so will definitely watch that.
