I don't think many people realize how important this episode, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine in general, are. The show's talked about many issues, and I think it's very important that this episode focused on white supremacy and police brutality towards the black community. I love Brooklyn Nine-Nine and I think it's one of the most underrated sitcoms of this generation. More people should focus on this show. Please do not get it cancelled.

Nice treatment of the subject of racism in policing, without being heavy-handed or making light as this is a comedy. Really masterful bit of work in a half-hour format!

This episode made me cry because the truth in Terry's words.

The way that this episode talk about the structural racism in society and how any black person can be a target, even when they rise professionally, is amazing. By the way, Terry Crews was marvelous.

I am a white person, and PLEASE keep holding white people accountable for their prejudicial actions! And it cannot have been easy for Jake and Amy, both non-black people, to try to talk to black children about what racism is. I'm glad they tried but what the hell do we know? I'm probably not phrasing this well at all, but my point is I'm so glad this show called out stop-and-frisk culture for what it is and I was so glad Terry filed that report after all. Make racists afraid again.

Nope, I want none of that. They even squeezed in a little line about transgender bs onto kids. On to the next one.

While this "very special episode" really is a landmark and timely episode, the heart-to-hearts between Jeffords and Hold do feel a bit forced and notably out of step with the rest of the show. While I think that the subject's awkward inclusion may make it a worse comedy, it does ultimately make it a far better show.

Such a phenomenal and truly important episode. This is definitely the best they've ever done and certainly going in my Top 10 of the year, and probably staying there. Literal art!

This is a great example of how well the writers manage to cover multiple topics in one episode of just 20 minutes.
How they covered reacting to experienced racism, including the first and third person perspective, is really something to be proud of.
